hello! We are hmfoto, a photography agency founded by life partners Scott and Kate. This endeavor was started as a way for us to share our love of the creative process and explore the possibilities of what photography can be. Our backgrounds are diverse and our creative services reflect that. We photograph weddings, portraits, events, lifestyle and editorial work. We are based in Cincinnati, Ohio but its fun to get out of town.

Kate received her BA in Anthropology from the University of Cincinnati and Masters degree from the University of Cincinnati’s College of Design, Art, Architecture, and Planning (DAAP) in Art Education with an emphasis in Photography. Kate’s educational background has directly influenced her work which focuses on life, culture, and the human spirit.

Scott has worked as a collection photographer at a large arts organization and photographed art and architecture for the past 12 years. Scott is inspired by photographers such as Julius Shulman, Ezra Stoller and the way in which they pre-visualized their scenes and captured the essence of the environment around them.
